Isabella Blow Fashion Galore

I recently visited Somerset House in London to marvel at the exquisite masterpieces created by Alexander Mcqueen, Philip Treacy, Viktor and Rolf Manolo Blahnik to name but a few.
This whole exhibition was extremely inspiring to see how Alexander Mcqueens talent blossomed over the years and to see his many ideas up close and personal was an amazing experience I will never forget trying not to reach out and touch the beautiful creations was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.

One of the stand out pieces i seen in the exhibition was a fabulous lurex wool and metallic thread top and trousers with lurex pom poms by Viktor & Rolf a/w 1998. This piece alone left me standing staring for at least ten minutes. The whole exhibition has left me feeling inspired and in awe at isabellas beautifully thought out quirky wardrobe a lady who always pushed the boundries of fashion and suceeded in being one of the major players in the fashion industrie and discovering some of the amazing talent we still see and love today.

Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop

Meadham and Kirchhoff has always been one of my favourite designers they are well know for their wacky outrageous designs so this collaboration with Topshop is making me want to pull out the credit card and purchase every single last thing in the collection. Prices are ranging from £4 for a pair of socks up to £750 for a Mongolian fur coat this is an 89 piece collection featuring leather, lace, suede, chiffon glitter all in bold brights and sweet pastel shades. This collection is in store on the 21st November 2013 see below for some of my favourite pieces from the collection. I especially love the amazing animal scarf this will brighten up any outfit and brings out the fun in fashion again.

Inspiration

Moschino has always been a major influence and inspiration for me as I love the quirky fun element they bring to fashion and are not afraid to take risks. I have fallen in love with the Spring Summer 2014 Ready to wear collection Inspired by summer days on Miami Beach it screams fun full of feathers popping pinks and best of all Flamingos.

Rendering Reality Inspired Fashion Illustrations

This was my first attempt at Fashion Illustrations based on The Macro Trend Rendering Reality taken from WGSN. The trend looks at our obsession with everything looking perfect through photographs this trend is all about distorting what we see everyday and celebrating flaws we find in pictures such as pixels and glitches. I chose to look at this in more depth as I knew I would be able to explore many other avenues such as Moire Patterns and optical illusions. I was happy with how they have turned out for a first attempt but would like to hone my skills further so I can produce more polished fashion figures for my next project.
